Garment Technician

We are now looking for a

GARMENT TECHNICIAN

for Stockmann Fashion Category, responsible for making measurements, grading, fitting and workmanship for commercial collections in own brand´s end to end process process according to own brands’ strategy.

This is a permanent position. You will be located in Helsinki, in our Flag Ship Store. We work in a hybrid model so 2-3 days at office.

Where is your expertise needed?

As a Garment Technician, you will be responsible for the end-to-end sample and fitting process, ensuring high-quality, well-fitting, and commercially successful products. You will work closely with Designers, Own Brand Leads, suppliers, and production teams to develop measurements, grading, patterns, fittings, and workmanship.

You will provide clear and constructive feedback to suppliers on fit, quality, construction, and pattern development, while ensuring an efficient development process and adherence to timelines. You will also coordinate sample shipments and support product testing, labelling, and care instructions when needed.

In your work, you will contribute to customer-centric and sustainable product development by ensuring production-friendly solutions, high quality, and responsible use of materials and manufacturing processes.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a commercially minded Garment Technician with a relevant education and at least three years of experience working as a Garment Technician. You have strong knowledge of garment construction and manufacturing methods, ideally with experience in offshore production, and the ability to support the development of high-quality, commercial collections.

You are organized, solution-oriented, and confident in making decisions and managing multiple priorities. Strong collaboration skills and a team-oriented mindset are essential. Fluency in both English and Finnish is required.
