About this role

We are looking for an experienced Tax Specialist / Tax Manager for an assignment with an international organization in Gothenburg.

The role is part of the Group Tax function and involves responsibility for global tax processes, with a particular focus on Pillar II reporting, as well as tax compliance, planning, and strategy for selected legal entities. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, external advisors, auditors, and tax authorities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the Group’s Pillar II reporting
  • Develop and implement global tax strategies to optimize the effective tax rate
  • Provide tax advice related to cross-border transactions, M&A, and restructurings
  • Identify tax optimization opportunities while ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Manage direct tax filings and payments, ensuring timely compliance
  • Manage tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities
  • Review current and deferred tax calculations
  • Review tax provisions under local GAAP for selected legal entities
  • Monitor developments in local and international tax legislation and support implementation of relevant changes
  • Maintain robust internal controls to mitigate direct tax risks
  • Collaborate with external tax advisors and auditors to ensure accurate tax reporting
  • Your Background
  • We are looking for a tax professional with a strong combination of technical expertise, analytical ability, and business understanding. You should have:
  • A university degree in Law, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience within tax
  • Good understanding of finance processes and systems
  • Strong knowledge of international taxation, US tax legislation, and tax accounting standards
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills
  • Strong business acumen and a high level of integrity
