Software Asset Manager
About this role
We are looking for a Software Asset Manager for a global company in Gothenburg.
Start is in Sep 2026, 12-months limited contract to begin with, possibility of extension after that.
We are looking for a Software Asset Management Consultant to join our clients Global Software Asset Management team, with a particular focus on software used within Product Development and Engineering.
The role combines operational Software Asset Management with oversight of the software demand and procurement process within Digital. You will support Product Owners and business stakeholders with software licensing questions, license management, usage and optimization, while also coordinating and following up software requests to ensure that they progress through the process and that the required reviews, decisions and approvals are completed at the right time.
We are looking for someone with some previous experience in Software Asset Management and software licensing, but you do not need to be an expert. Experience from Product Development, Engineering IT, PLM, CAD, CAE or similar areas is a strong advantage and will provide valuable context for the role.
The position is based in Gothenburg and reports locally, while working as an integrated part of the Global SAM team.
Responsibilities
- You will support the day-to-day Software Asset Management activities for software portfolio and provide oversight of the software demand process within Digital.
- Your main responsibilities will be to:
- Support Product Owners and business stakeholders with software licensing, usage, entitlement and other SAM-related questions.
- Maintain and analyze software license, entitlement and usage information to provide a reliable basis for license management, optimization and compliance.
- Analyze software usage and demand to identify opportunities to optimize, reallocate or reduce licenses.
