About this role

We’re looking for a Mandarin speaking Junior Project Management Specialist for a global company in Gothenburg. Start is ASAP, 5 months limited contract to begin with. This role is 100% onsite in Gothenburg.

Description of the assignment

This assignment is to act as a substitute for our regular Project management specialist (5-8 months). In the role as Project management specialist, you will:

Support the Global Chief Engineer Mechanical Architecture with meeting arrangements and meeting minutes

Communicate extensively with Chinese colleagues in GRI in all matters related to Mechanical Architecture

On occasion travel to China to participate in workshops and meetings

Lead and coordinate mechanical architecture Red Book development

Besides above tasks, you will also have a special focus on benchmarking and weight management:

Communicate with Chinese colleagues regarding details for weight follow-up and

benchmarking

Independently perform benchmarking activities including but not limited to finding and

structuring information on A2MAC1 platform, performing web searches, etc.

Independently perform weight assessments, keeping track of max axle weights, GVM and

curb weights for different architectures, vehicles and options

Communicate findings to internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications and skills required for the role

B.Sc. or M.Sc. Engineering degree within Mechanical Engineering or similar

Very good general automotive knowledge – both product knowledge with respect to competitors but also product development knowledge with respect to how a mechanical architecture is developed, what aspects are important and how different systems interact

No specific years of experience are required but some are expected within automotive industry to fulfill above point.

Fluency in written and spoken Mandarin and English. Fluency in Swedish is an advantage.
