Your Role and Responsibilities

We are now looking for an Operative Quality Specialist to join our team at the IEC LV Motors factory in Vaasa. The main task for this role is to be an active and co-operative driver between production and other departments to ensure continuous quality development. The key target is to ensure high-quality performance of the final product. The role will also include training production staff on quality standards, inspection techniques, and safe handling of components while ensuring compliance with ABB's Quality Management Systems and relevant safety and regulatory requirements.

Cooperation with production, engineering, and cross-functional teams is essential to drive a culture of excellence, safety, and continuous improvement. This will be, for example, collaborating with engineering on process improvements, new tooling validation, and introduction of new products.

This position is offered as a fixed-term contract until the end of November 2027.

The work model for this role is: #Li-onsite. Note that the role requires everyday presence on location to ensure operational continuity and collaboration with the factory.

You will be mainly accountable for:

Owning and developing quality performance within the designated assembly line.

Organizing and driving weekly Quality Circle activities, following up improvement actions, and promoting continuous improvement.

Supporting daily production by leading the resolution of quality issues and non-conformances through structured problem solving and corrective actions.
