About the role
You will take on a Lead Engineer role, managing the design and selection of primary components during both tender and project execution phases. You will bridge the gap between clients and suppliers to ensure technical compliance and success.

Work tasks
This role involves independent technical execution of component design, supplier management, and client technical negotiations for substation projects.
Select and design primary components including reactors, capacitor banks, and busbars
Manage the RFQ process and technical evaluations with equipment suppliers
Conduct electrical and electromagnetic field studies
Calculate component clearances for substation primary designs
Negotiate technical deviations and clarifications directly with clients
Attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) at international supplier facilities
Ensure designs meet global standards such as IEC, IEEE, and local APAC requirements
We are looking for
Knowledge of substation primary design or medium-voltage component engineering
Ability to conduct electrical and electromagnetic field studies
Experience calculating component clearances
Lead Engineer level capability to manage tasks independently
Degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Systems or High Voltage
Willingness to travel for Factory Acceptance Tests
It is meritorious if you have
Good knowledge of IEC, IEEE, or local APAC standards
Experience in Energy Technology focused on power transmission and plants
