Role Summary

This role is a part of TRATON Group R&D, located in Södertälje, Sweden.

You will play a key role in developing and enhancing software functionality within the engine management system. You will be involved in all phases of development, including concept creation, implementation, testing, and troubleshooting, while working with technologies such as C and Matlab/Simulink. Collaborating closely with teams across TRATON, you will contribute to sustainable powertrain solutions that improve engine performance and support the transition towards lower environmental impact.

Job Responsibilities

As a development engineer in our unit, you will be part of all steps in the developing process i.e. concept development, implementation and testing. You will also get the chance to work in both pre-development project as well as you will investigate and solve problems found on the current production software. Some of the tasks that you will be assigned to is:

Developing new software functionality in our engine management system.

Testing your functionality in different environments, for example in simulation environment, testbed and in truck.

Continuous discussions and cooperation with colleagues all around Traton including our brand specific organisations.
