In Tampere, Vernova’s teams contribute to the development and delivery of Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS) and STATCOM solutions, which play an important role in improving power system stability, voltage control, and grid performance. These technologies are essential for integrating renewable energy, increasing transmission efficiency, and supporting the evolving needs of modern power systems.

GE Vernova is looking for 2 Senior or Lead-level LAYOUT ENGINEERS in FACTS/STATCOM electromechanical team in Tampere Finland.

The Layout Engineers will work on the mechanical layout and 3D design of STATCOM systems. Their main tasks include equipment arrangement, 3D modelling, assembly and installation drawings, interface and clearance coordination, and providing inputs for foundations and site installation. They will work closely with electrical, civil, system, supplier, and site teams throughout the project.

Must-have skills and experience:

Strong hands-on experience with Revit and SolidWorks

Experience in substation, FACTS, STATCOM, HVDC, or similar power infrastructure projects

3D modelling, equipment arrangement, assembly and installation drawings

Understanding of interfaces, clearances, foundation inputs, and constructability requirements

Experience supporting engineering design reviews, project execution, suppliers, and site activities
