About the Role
As a Senior SiC PVT Development Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and scaling Physical Vapor Transport (PVT) crystal growth processes for Silicon Carbide substrates. You will work closely with manufacturing, quality, equipment suppliers, research partners, and customers to improve crystal quality, increase yield, and support technology transfer into production
This role combines hands-on development work, process optimization, problem-solving, and strategic technology development.
Responsibilities
- Crystal Growth Development
- Develop and optimize SiC PVT crystal growth processes.
- Improve crystal quality, yield, and process stability.
- Define process windows and critical operating parameters.
- Design and execute development experiments.
- Industrialization & Scale-Up
- Lead process scale-up from development to manufacturing.
- Establish robust and repeatable production processes.
- Support technology transfer to manufacturing operations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce costs.
- Yield & Quality Improvement
- Analyze process and characterization data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Investigate crystal defects and process deviations.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Support quality improvement and qualification activities.
