About this role
We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our team on a major data center construction project in Vaasa, Finland.
This is a full-time, long-term position offering stable employment on a large-scale construction site.
This role is focused primarily on site support carpentry rather than high-end finishing or specialist carpentry work. We are looking for candidates with practical construction carpentry experience who are comfortable building and maintaining temporary site structures and supporting the day-to-day needs of the project.
Responsibilities
- Construct and maintain temporary site structures.
- Build temporary stairs, walkways, platforms, and access routes.
- Install and repair temporary walls, hoarding, and site partitions.
- Construct and maintain security huts, storage areas, and other temporary facilities.
- Install, maintain, and repair site fencing and barriers.
- Carry out general carpentry and maintenance tasks around the construction site.
- Assist with site setup and modifications as project requirements change.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with site procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Support site logistics and construction teams when required.
Requirements
- Fluent English language skills (spoken and understood).
- Legal right to work in Finland within the construction industry.
- Valid Occupational Safety Card (Työturvallisuuskortti).
- Previous carpentry experience on construction sites.
- Ability to work independently.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Reliable, responsible, and hardworking attitude.
