GA Telesis Engine Services (GATES) is a full-service jet engine overhaul and repair station located at Helsinki-Vantaa International Airport, Finland.
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Data Analyst to join our international and growing team in a dynamic and fast-paced aviation industry.
In this role, as part of the Finance team, you will play a key role in transforming operational and financial data into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making, process optimization, and business growth.
Working closely with Business Cost Analytics, Production, Engineering, Commercial Support, IT and senior management, you will develop data-driven solutions that improve operational efficiency, support forecasting and planning, and help achieve our ambitious Production growth targets while driving continuous improvement across the organization.
Previous experience in industrial, manufacturing, aviation, MRO, or other complex operational environments is considered a strong advantage.
Responsibilities
- Collect, process, and analyse large volumes of structured and unstructured data to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for optimization
- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights
- Design, develop, and implement machine learning models to solve business problems such as predictive maintenance, quality optimization, and process improvement
- Clean, validate, and preprocess data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability
- Deploy and integrate analytical models into production and business systems and workflows
- Monitor model performance and continuously improve model accuracy and efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business productivity, quality, and operational efficiency
