Are you a university student or recent graduate interested in geopolitics, resilience, and technology policy? We are looking for a trainee to join our Foresight & Preparedness team and support work that is highly relevant to Finland’s technology industry.
This is a great opportunity to learn about current policy topics, work with experienced colleagues, and contribute to meaningful projects. You’ll get to see how policy, industry, and international trade cooperation connect in practice.
As a trainee, you’ll support the team in a variety of tasks, such as
helping summarize policy in such topics as geopolitics, comprehensive security, and resilience
working in a team to develop a manual for member companies (participating in workshop and interviews)
assisting with the organization of working group meetings
following developments in EU policy and helping the team prepare background materials and advocacy work related to current affairs
participating in parliamentary advocacy meetings
contributing to member website development
having the opportunity to travel a little bit and take part in public events, e.g. Turku Europe Forum and meetings in Stockholm together with team members
depending on your background, contributing to a research project on supply chain preparedness among Finnish technology companies
We hope you are
currently enrolled in a higher education degree or recently graduated — relevant fields could be, for example, social sciences, law, economics, engineering, and related backgrounds
comfortable communicating with different people and building new contacts
interested in geopolitics, comprehensive security, and how these shape technology and industry
able to manage different kinds of tasks and work in an organized way
fluent in English — international applicants are warmly encouraged to apply
