Senior React Native Engineer

Ireland - Dublin Hub (Hybrid)CompetitiveHybrid0 applicants

About this role

At Flipdish, we’re turning the tables in favour of independent restaurant and takeaway owners by offering them powerful, simple-to-use tech solutions backed by real human support. Everything we do is designed to make running a restaurant satisfyingly simple in a world that’s anything but.

About the role

Due to our continued growth, Flipdish is seeking a React Native Developer to join our global engineering team. Our main goal is to provide our clients with groundbreaking mobile applications enabling online ordering and increased loyalty for our clients.

The successful candidate for this role will be looking for an exciting new challenge in a hyper-growth environment. You should have a passion for technology and be willing to take on new challenges and input to the company’s growth.

What you’ll own

Be hands on developing our mobile applications and Kiosk

Fix issues in existing/legacy code

Resolve both technical and product issues

Own and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automation of testing and builds

Design, develop, and implement automated systems for seamless app setup and deployment

Be the QA of your own work and that of team mates

Understand our customers and their requirements

Work with a PM and TL to ensure accurate delivery of features

Challenge poor decisions and propose better ways of working. Constructive challenge is a responsibility - prioritising harmony over truth or progress is a failure of responsibility.

What success looks like

High-quality mobile app and kiosk features are shipped consistently, with clear ownership from build to release.

Legacy issues are resolved quickly and effectively, improving stability and reducing recurring incidents.

CI/CD and automated testing are reliable and continuously improved, reducing manual effort and release risk.

Product and technical issues are handled end-to-end with strong judgment and clear communication.

The role demonstrates strong customer understanding, translating needs into practical engineering decisions.

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

Have 5+ years commercial experience developing mobile apps in React Native

Have hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks

Have great communication in English, both verbal and written

Have excellent problem solving skills, with the ability to dig in to issues and come up with appropriate solutions

Have the ability to take ambiguous requirements and work with the team to refine them into development items

Have a solid understanding of performance requirements on mobile devices

Are not a stranger to product / user centric ways of thinking about software projects

Work well both on your own, and as part of a team

Embrace AI in your daily work routine!

Challenge poor decisions and propose better ways of working.

The following would help you stand out.

Experience owning CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps

Experience implementing automated build/test/release systems

Experience improving legacy codebases while continuing to ship new features

This role may not suit you if

You prefer highly structured environments with little ambiguity

You are uncomfortable challenging ideas or being challenged

You prefer narrow scope roles over broad ownership

Our Culture

At Flipdish, we’re on the side of independent restaurant and takeaway owners, running busy operations on tight margins with rising costs, staffing challenges, and an increasingly demanding customer base. Our job is to make their lives easier with technology that’s powerful, satisfyingly simple, and backed by real human support.

Our integrated ecosystem, spanning online ordering, marketing, loyalty, point of sale, menu optimisation, and operational automation, helps restaurants grow while staying in control. We’re an AI-first company, and we use it to help our customers get better outcomes, faster ordering, smarter marketing, and smoother operations, so owners and teams can spend more time on what matters.

Inside the company, we value ownership and clarity, with a friendly, people-led culture behind it. We trust our people to help shape what kind of employer Flipdish is, not just follow a script. Transparency is huge for us: we listen to each other, and create the space for people to grow (with balance, not burnout). We’re focused on impact and team energy, not “being seen”. You’ll have meaningful scope, work closely with smart people across teams, and be trusted to make things better as Flipdish scales.
