How you’ll demonstrate Ownership

We are looking for a visionary Power & Renewables Solutions to lead the charge in transforming how global energy companies harness data to optimize operations, improve asset performance, and accelerate the shift toward a more sustainable future.
This is a high-impact leadership role where deep technical expertise meets strategic influence. You will shape and deliver cutting-edge, data-driven solutions for some of the world’s largest power and renewables organizations—helping them unlock the full value of their industrial data through Cognite’s leading DataOps and AI platform.
You will act as a trusted advisor to senior customer stakeholders, a strategic partner to our sales and product teams, and a key voice in shaping the future of Cognite’s solutions in the energy sector.

Lead Strategic Solution Design
Define and drive innovative, scalable solution architectures for global power and renewable energy customers.
Act as a senior technical authority, shaping how Cognite’s platform is applied to solve complex industry challenges at scale.
Bring together DataOps, AI, and advanced analytics to deliver transformative outcomes.
Partner with Executive Stakeholders
Engage directly with C-level executives and senior technical leaders across global energy organisations.
Translate complex technical capabilities into clear, compelling business value.
Build trusted, long-term advisory relationships focused on strategic transformation.
Architect High-Impact Solutions
Provide end-to-end architectural leadership across pre-sales and solution design engagements.
Ensure solutions are robust, scalable, and future-ready across diverse customer environments.
Help customers tackle critical challenges such as asset performance, data standardisation, and grid optimisation.
Turn Customer Insight into Global Impact
Identify patterns and recurring challenges across customer engagements.
Drive the standardisation of scalable solution frameworks across regions and markets.
Feed insights directly into product and engineering teams to shape Cognite’s roadmap.
Lead Proof of Concept (PoC) Success
Guide customers through technical evaluations and PoC engagements.
Ensure successful outcomes by bridging customer needs with Cognite’s platform capabilities.
Demonstrate measurable business and operational value through hands-on leadership.
Influence Product & Platform Evolution
Work closely with product and engineering teams to shape future capabilities.
Ensure real-world customer needs and industry trends directly influence the Cognite roadmap.
Act as a key voice for the power and renewables industry within Cognite.
Build Strategic Ecosystems
Develop strong relationships with industry partners, technology vendors, and ecosystem stakeholders.
Strengthen Cognite’s presence and credibility within the global energy landscape.
Identify opportunities for innovation through collaboration and integration.
Represent Cognite as a Thought Leader
Act as a visible industry voice at conferences, forums, and customer advisory boards.
Champion the role of AI, data, and digital transformation in enabling the energy transition.
Share insights that shape how the industry thinks about data-driven operations.
Requirements

- Extensive experience in technical leadership roles within pre-sales, solution architecture, or consulting in the power & renewables sector.
- Deep expertise in industrial data solutions, including asset performance, predictive maintenance, and operational optimisation.
- Strong understanding of DataOps, AI/ML, and data analytics in industrial or energy contexts.
- Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value for executive audiences.
- Experience influencing product direction and collaborating closely with engineering and product teams.
- A track record of building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and customers.
- Strong communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.
- Experience identifying reusable patterns across customers and scaling solutions globally.
- Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g. Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Data Science, Renewable Energy) or equivalent practical experience.
