Product Designer
At Tulka we are building the future of the interpretation industry. We are a 10 year old technology company which has built a platform that connects professional interpreters with governmental agencies and companies who need them. We have also established ourselves as a leader in AI interpretation offering it seamlessly in the same platform.
For this role we expect design skills, product thinking and technical understanding on a conversational level. We have two dedicated engineering teams whom you will be working with closely. In this role you will explore ideas, build prototypes and together with the team ship to customers.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the product & engineering teams and own projects end-to-end
- Review our existing products and find opportunities to redesign and improve screens and flows
- Create prototypes, design mockups and develop, update and maintain design system across mobile and desktop platforms to create unified experiences
- Talk with users to understand the best design decisions for each situation and utilize data to improve user journeys
- What we expect
- You will be the only product designer on the team. You will be able to get feedback and ideas from colleagues regarding design choices, but you should be comfortable with making decisions when there might not be a clear best choice.
- +5 years experience designing software
- Comfortable working across the full design process including research, flows, customer interactions, and visuals with UX and accessibility at the core
- You can defend a design choice, but you are also open to feedback and can change your thinking to iterate towards the best possible solution
- Experience with Figma & desire to learn how to utilize the latest AI technologies
- Spoken & written english proficiency
- Helpful, not required
- Experience designing AI products, especially around uncertainty and trust
- Experience designing voice based user experiences
