Specialist in physical medicine and rehabilitation
About this role
On behalf of a hospital in Northern Norway, we are looking for a dedicated and skilled specialist in physical medicine and rehabilitation to join an interdisciplinary team in a full-time daytime position.
The rehabilitation unit offers a wide range of outpatient services and consists of a multidisciplinary team including medical specialists, psychologists, neuropsychologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses and social workers. The team is known for its professional engagement and expertise in musculoskeletal medicine, fatigue disorders and work-related health challenges.
There is ongoing development of the rehabilitation services, including expansion of specialized inpatient capacity in the years to come. The hospital is also involved in national research projects, especially within work-related health and rehabilitation.
Responsibilities
- Independent and team-based clinical work within musculoskeletal medicine, spasticity treatment, complex fatigue conditions and interdisciplinary assessments
- Participation in outpatient programs such as interdisciplinary fatigue clinics and an ambulatory rehabilitation team
- Contribution to new service development, including planned expansion of specialized rehabilitation beds
- Opportunities to participate in ongoing clinical research
- Collaboration with other departments and external partners
Requirements
- Authorization to practice as a medical doctor within the EU.
- EU certification as a specialist in physical medicine and rehabilitation
- Experience in hospital-based rehabilitation or strong interest in the field
- Ability to work independently and in interdisciplinary teams
- Proficiency in English and motivation to learn Norwegian, supported by our free language course.
