<p>ReOrbit is looking for <span>an experienced Project Director to lead a complex satellite project within the SiltaSat Program, overseeing the end‑to‑end development and delivery of a geostationary satellite system. </span></p><p>As our Project Director, you will be responsible for ensuring <span>technical excellence, program governance, supplier coordination, and successful execution across all engineering and delivery phases—from early design through launch and in‑orbit acceptance.</span></p><p>It's an exciting chance to join a dynamic start-up, with the opportunity to make a real impact, to reach our goal of pushing the boundaries of space data transfer.&nbsp;</p><p></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li><p><span>Lead the full lifecycle of GEO satellite development, including design, manufacturing, qualification, launch preparation, and in‑orbit commissioning.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Oversee cross‑functional engineering teams across mechanical, avionics, software, mission systems, and ground segment domains.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Ensure program governance, schedule adherence, risk management, and quality compliance.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Technical leadership and mentoring of engineering teams.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Coordinate with international suppliers, launch providers, and ground‑segment partners.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Oversee environmental testing, qualification campaigns, and GEO‑specific reliability assessments.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Provide strategic reporting and program insights to the Vice President of Delivery.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Foster innovation, technical leadership, and a high‑performance engineering culture.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Skills and Requirements</strong></p><ul><li><p><span>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Master’s degree is an advantage.</span></p></li><li><p><span>10+ years of experience in satellite subsystem engineering and development, preferably with GEO missions</span></p></li><li><p><span>Strong understanding of GEO satellite lifecycle, qualification processes, and long‑duration mission requirements.</span></p></li><li><p><span>3+ years of experience in space project management and governance.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Proven leadership of complex, multi‑disciplinary engineering programs.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team‑motivation skills.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Ability to inspire innovative thinking and drive breakthrough solutions.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Startup‑growth mindset with the ability to turn ambitious concepts into deliverable outcomes.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>What does ReOrbit do?</strong></p><p>ReOrbit builds the foundation for the next generation of space applications by transforming satellites into truly intelligent, interconnected platforms, defined by software.
