<p>ReOrbit is looking for<span> a Project Manager – Software & Mission Systems to lead all software, mission‑system, and ground‑segment integration activities for the SiltaSat GEO satellite.</span></p><p><span>This role ensures the successful development, verification, release, and in‑orbit validation of mission‑critical software for long‑duration GEO operations.</span></p><p>It's an exciting chance to join a dynamic start-up, with the opportunity to make a real impact, to reach our goal of pushing the boundaries of space data transfer. </p><p>This job can be based in our headquarter in Helsinki, Finland or Bengaluru, India.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li><p><span>Lead flight software development and integration activities.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Coordinate ground systems and mission‑operations interfaces.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Manage mission‑system integration across flight, ground, and operational elements.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Interpretation of software architecture documents and ICDs.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Oversee software verification, validation, and configuration tracking.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Lead in‑orbit validation planning for GEO commissioning and long‑term operations.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Coordinate with software teams, mission operations, and simulation stakeholders.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Support ground‑segment integration and mission readiness events.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Serve as custodian of the Software Interface Design Description Document, covering:</span></p><ul><li><p><span>Data structures and formats</span></p></li><li><p><span>Data rates and bandwidth</span></p></li><li><p><span>Encryption and cybersecurity</span></p></li><li><p><span>Edge‑computing and onboard processing logic</span></p></li></ul></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Skills and Requirements</strong></p><ul><li><p><span>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s degree is an advantage.</span></p></li><li><p><span>5+ years of experience in flight software, mission systems, or ground‑segment development within a space or aerospace organization.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Strong understanding of software lifecycle processes, V&V methodologies, and mission‑system architectures for GEO missions.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience coordinating multi‑disciplinary engineering and mission‑operations team</span></p></li><li><p><span>Understanding of real‑time embedded software and onboard data‑handling systems.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience with simulation frameworks, digital twins, and automated testing.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Knowledge of cybersecurity and secure data‑handling for space systems.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Working at ReOrbit</strong></p><p>At ReOrbit, we are focused on building a strong team as we believe nothing can be accomplished without innovative, humble and curious minds working together on a common goal.
