Frontend Engineer, Code Quality & Security/Greenstep Espoo

About this role

Responsibilities

• We're a growing team building software that matters. As a Frontend Engineer with a focus on code quality and security, you'll work directly with our engineering team to improve and maintain a portfolio of React-based applications, many of which were built with AI-assisted development tools. You'll bring the engineering judgment that turns fast-moving prototypes into reliable, secure, production-grade software.
• Own and improve existing React applications across the stack.
• Review and harden AI-generated code before and after production deployment.
• Identify and fix security, performance, and architectural issues.
• Refactor and standardize component structure and state management.
• Work with PostgreSQL-backed services and understand data access patterns.
• Collaborate on deployment and config improvements in containerized environments,
• Help establish engineering standards for current and future projects.
• You enjoy the work that happens after the prototype: hardening, refactoring, standardizing. You're comfortable raising quality concerns and proposing better approaches. You'd rather build something right than build it twice.
• What we're looking forStrong React and TypeScript skills, you know modern patterns and hooks well.
• Solid understanding of frontend security (auth/authorization, CSRF, API boundaries).
• PostgreSQL experience and a working knowledge of relational data design.
• Familiarity with TanStack Query and TanStack Router.
• Basic comfort with Docker and Kubernetes deployments.
