Business Controller/Senior Business Controller, Schibsted Media – Subscription Forecasting & Modelling
We are now looking for a Business Controller to take a key role in developing and owning our subscription revenue forecasting capabilities.

Subscription revenue is Schibsted News Media's most important revenue stream, and we are now strengthening our finance team with a dedicated role focused on forecasting and modelling. This is a unique opportunity to help shape how we understand and project our subscription business across Norway and Sweden.
In this role, you will work at the intersection of Finance, Data, and Business – combining financial understanding with data-driven modelling. You will collaborate closely with our Data & Insight teams, who provide access to rich subscription data, while Finance owns the forecasting logic and delivers business-critical insights.
Responsibilities
- Forecasting & modelling (core focus)
- Own and develop a driver-based subscription revenue forecasting model across brands and markets
- Translate business drivers (acquisition, retention, ARPU, cohorts) into robust and scalable models
- Continuously improve model accuracy by incorporating new data, insights, and business understanding
- Develop scenario and sensitivity analyses to support decision-making and strategic planning
- Ensure the model is transparent, well-structured, and trusted across stakeholders
