Who is your future team?
You will be part of the global Environment & Supply Chain Sustainability team. We drive the environmental strategy for the entire company and the full sustainability agenda linked to our supply chain. We are a team of 14 dedicated individuals, where the majority are based in Lund, Sweden.
What will you do as Supplier Sustainability Engineer?
As Supplier Sustainability Engineer at Axis, you will play a key role in our efforts to be the industry leader in sustainability. You will work both regionally and globally. Your main responsibilities include:
Qualify new suppliers through on-site audits and improvement activities. Ensure our supplier base fulfills Axis' Supplier Code of Conduct (which is based on the guidelines set by the Responsible Business Alliance).
Develop the sustainability performance of our supplier base through training and targeted initiatives.
Work together with our commodity teams on risk management and creating supplier strategies.
Develop/improve our processes and tools, leveraging AI and automation to scale our impact and ensure that Axis remains at the forefront.
On average you will travel internationally every month (typically Europe, North America or Southeast Asia).
Who are we looking for?
We would love to hear that you have:
A university degree in sustainability management, environmental science, human rights law or similar.
Formal training in ISO14001 and ISO45001, and preferably also in SA8000. Experience from ISO14001 and ISO45001 implementation would be a plus.
5+ years' experience from a supplier sustainability role or similar at an international company doing supplier audits of environmental management, occupational health and safety, human rights and labor ri
