Position Summary The Electrical Commissioning Manager will lead and manage all electrical commissioning activities for a large-scale data centre project in Kouvola, Finland. Acting on behalf of the General Contractor, the successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, coordination, execution, and successful delivery of electrical commissioning works from pre-commissioning through integrated systems testing and client handover.
The role requires close collaboration with project management, construction teams, MEP subcontractors, equipment vendors, commissioning agents, and the client team to ensure all electrical systems are commissioned safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, industry standards, and programme requirements.
Key Responsibilities Commissioning LeadershipDevelop and implement the project electrical commissioning strategy and execution plan.
Manage all electrical commissioning activities throughout the project lifecycle.
Coordinate commissioning activities with construction, quality, and project controls teams.
Ensure commissioning milestones align with the overall project schedule.
Lead commissioning meetings and provide regular progress updates to project leadership.
Electrical Systems Management Oversee commissioning activities for:
Medium Voltage (MV) distribution systems.
Low Voltage (LV) distribution systems.
Transformers.
Switchgear and switchboards.
UPS systems.
Static Transfer Switches (STS).
Standby generator systems.
Power monitoring and SCADA systems.
Earthing and lightning protection systems.
Electrical protection and control systems.
Fuel systems associated with backup power infrastructure.
Data hall power distribution systems.
