<p><strong>ReOrbit </strong>is looking for a <strong>Senior Buyer</strong> to own the full procurement lifecycle, from RFPs to contracts and eventual delivery, as we push the boundaries of space data transfer.</p><p>As our Senior Buyer, you will manage supplier relationships, lead complex sourcing initiatives, and handle everything from high-value subcontracts to everyday purchases</p><p></p><p>It's an exciting chance to join a dynamic start-up, with the opportunity to make a real impact, to reach our goal of pushing the boundaries of space data transfer. </p><p>This role will be based in our headquarters in Helsinki, Finland.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li><p>Leads the full RFP lifecycle from initial supplier engagement to proposal evaluation, negotiation, and contract award, ensuring alignment with technical and contractual requirements</p></li><li><p>Manages supplier relationships end-to-end, from RFP development through post-award administration, for high-value, high-complexity procurements.</p></li><li><p>Establishes and negotiates subcontract agreements, leveraging deep expertise in procurement strategy, supplier evaluation, and compliance-driven sourcing.</p></li><li><p>Serves as project owner for major sourcing initiatives, driving cross-functional coordination, timelines, and successful outcomes</p></li><li><p>Drives cost savings and value optimization through strategic sourcing, relationship building, and creativity</p></li><li><p>Takes initiatives to troubleshoot procurement related bottlenecks & challenges by liasing with Engineering and other relevant stakeholders.</p></li><li><p>No task is too small - you will own and manage high-complexity and high-dollar subcontracts AND track low-risk micropurchases/procurements</p></li></ul><p><strong>Skills and Requirements</strong></p><ul><li><p>7+ years of supply chain specific experience</p></li><li><p>Experience owning and managing strict budgets and schedules and can provide examples</p></li><li><p>Understands the various contract structures and their differences</p></li><li><p>Strategic sourcing experience, especially within Asian (India) and European markets<span> </span>English speaking (CFER C1 equivalent).</p></li><li><p>Interpersonal skills to establish rapport with the colleagues and gain their support in getting the job done.</p></li><li><p>Proactiveness in acting quickly,<span> </span>sharing progress updates regularly, and flagging risks or blockers early.</p></li></ul><p>Nice-to-haves:</p><ul><li><p>Space or aerospace experience in a commercial industry</p></li><li><p>A self starter - someone with confidence in their abilities and can jump right in</p></li><li><p>Ability to concisely and effectively communicate situations and issues with others</p></li><li><p>Idea generator - see a problem, offer a solution, and manage the result</p></li><li><p>Experience utilizing ERP for proposal creation and budget/schedule management</p></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Working at ReOrbit</strong></p><p>At ReOrbit, we are focused on building a strong team as we believe nothing can be accomplished without innovative, humble and curious minds working together on a common goal.
