Manager, Technical Procurement (Construction & Facilities)
Responsibilities
- Construction Procurement & Sourcing
- Lead sourcing and competitive bid processes for construction and facilities projects, including paving, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and fuel systems
- Develop scopes of work, manage RFPs, and evaluate contractor proposals
- Build and manage a strong network of contractors across the Southwest region
- Conduct supplier due diligence across safety, capability, and financial stability
- Contracting & Risk Management
- Draft, negotiate, and manage construction contracts and MSAs
- Ensure proper controls including insurance, bonding, lien waivers, warranties, and change orders
- Partner with Legal, HSE, and Finance to ensure compliance and mitigate risk
- Manage contracts throughout the full lifecycle
- Project Support & Delivery
- Partner closely with project managers and operations to support active construction and maintenance projects
- Align procurement activities with project timelines and budgets
- Resolve vendor issues, delays, and scope changes to keep projects on track
- Facilities Maintenance Procurement
- Support sourcing and contracting for ongoing repair and maintenance programs across multiple sites
- Establish performance expectations and service levels for contractors
- Supplier & Financial Management
- Monitor supplier performance across safety, quality, cost, and responsiveness
- Support budgeting, cost control, and spend tracking
- Ensure procurement compliance and contract adherence
- What We’re Looking For
Requirements
- Proven experience in
- construction, facilities, or capital project procurement
- Experience sourcing and managing
- contractors and vendors for site-based projects
- Strong experience negotiating
- construction contracts and agreements
- Ability to operate in a
- hands-on, project-driven environment
- Strong stakeholder management skills across operations, project management, and finance
Nice to have
- Experience in
- oil & gas, fuel, retail, or multi-site operations
- Exposure to
- gas station, convenience retail, or industrial site environments
