Responsibilities

  • Continuously reevaluate our existing security stack, work with stakeholders to better assess technology gaps, deficiencies, and overlapping capabilities
  • Embrace the use of strategic tools and platforms, including Google, Azure, AWS, ZScaler, and Wiz
  • Support or perform PoC and evaluation work
  • Maintain our security technology inventory aligned to cybersecurity capabilities and risks
  • Work with technical leads and stakeholders to discover emerging and cutting-edge technology
  • Act as a thought leader on how to effectively protect our company and introduce targeted friction
  • Design robust and scalable cloud-hybrid systems that ensure high availability and resilience in a medium to large organization
  • Oversee PoCs and discovery efforts to protect against emerging threats and address control deficiencies
  • Define security architecture principles, patterns, and blueprints by preparing reusable architectural artifacts in the form of design diagrams, IaC, or infographics
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence and define roadmaps and strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and company goals
  • Build and maintain strong interpersonal relationships, leveraging exceptional networking and influencing skills to navigate cross-culturally with a diverse range of stakeholders, both internally and externally
  • Train and educate technical architects on security best practices and broker knowledge sharing within the Security Architecture community

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of core IT Security disciplines, including Cloud, IAM, Network Security, Endpoint Security, Security Operations, Risk, and Compliance
  • Experience working in a large enterprise, driving outcomes by influencing various IT and business teams, business and technology architects, IT and divisional leaders
  • Deep familiarity with modern architectural methodologies, including cloud, serverless architectures, microservices, and the principles of DevSecOps
  • Expertise in Hybrid Solution Architecture
  • Expertise in Cyber Engineering or Operations
  • Understanding of key emerging technologies (AI, Quantum Computing)
  • Exceptional analytical skills coupled with a strong aptitude for problem-solving
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, allowing for effective collaboration with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders

  • Proven expertise in Security Architecture and Threat Modeling, particularly within hybrid environments that integrate on-premises and cloud solutions
