RECCO Advanced Rescue Technology is an international rescue system currently used by more than 900 rescue organizations and ski resorts in 32 countries. The search system is based on a technology solution that the Swedish company RECCO AB has developed and is the only one of its kind in the world. In recent years, the technology has been further developed into an efficient helicopter-based search system, which means that RECCO is now radically broadening its operations from only avalanche rescue to also include search for missing people in outdoor activities all year around. This leads to increased safety for the large mass of outdoor practitioners, from hikers in the forest to high-alpine climbers in the mountains.
