About this role
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Application Architect to work together with AFRY Finland Industry division Engineering Tools team and to further develop, maintain and support AFRY's internally developed engineering tools and integrations. To ensure continuity and further development of AFRY's engineering tool platform, your key responsibilities will include:
Maintaining and developing engineering applications & tools
Supporting end-to-end engineering workflows, integrations, and application functionality
Specification of new functionalities together with SMEs and business stakeholders
Creating and managing functional requirements, user stories, and validation scenarios
Coordinating bug fixes, and supporting testing activities
Supporting database analysis, SQL queries, and data troubleshooting
Co-operating with external vendors, partners, and internal development teams
Work location can be any of the AFRY Finland offices, however Vantaa, Tampere, Kouvola, Oulu, Turku and Kuopio are preferred and hybrid options are available.
Requirements
- To succeed in this role, you should have experience with:
- Application architecture or senior software engineering roles
- Oracle databases and SQL
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based applications
- System integrations, APIs, and enterprise application design
- Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices
- Azure DevOps/Jira, GitLab and Docker
- Familiarity with ITSM systems
- Plant engineering tools and workflows
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
- In addition, a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related field
- Fluency in Finnish and English
