Job Description

Our Sourcing team partner with the business to ensure efficient acquisition of goods and services that enables the commercialization of our medicines, vaccines and Animal Health products. We collaborate internationally and are grouped into center-led categories and regional operating teams.

We are recruiting for a Specialist Procurement (m/f/d) who will support our Unterschleißheim site in full-time as soon as possible.

Tasks:

Responsible for the strategic and operational sourcing activities related to product transfers, with a primary focus on direct materials and potential additional responsibility for CAPEX/OPEX procurement

Manage and execute procurement activities related to product transfers, including supplier transfer, selection, and development

Build, manage, and continuously develop supplier relationships, including supplier selection, evaluation, price and contract negotiations, and agreement of service levels (SLAs)

Act as the primary point of contact for suppliers in day-to-day business and oversee order execution

Initiate and follow up on procurement-related change control processes

Handle deviations, complaints, and claim management in close collaboration with internal stakeholders and suppliers

Drive cost-saving initiatives through cross-functional collaboration

Execute operational procurement activities in SAP (e.g. purchase order releases) and maintain master data (e.g. material master, pricing) as well as related systems such as ARIBA

Ensure high data quality and compliance of supplier and procurement data in internal systems and databases (including SharePoint) in line with global sourcing policies

Collaborate closely with global procurement functions and local stakeholders

Support and contribute to procurement-related projects and initiatives

Provide and analyze procurement data and KPIs (e.g. delivery performance, quality history, audits, iOTIF, supplier transparency) for local and global stakeholders

Actively support quality assurance processes, including change control, deviations, and complaint handling with key suppliers

Conduct market analysis and identify new suppliers to ensure supply security and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Completed academic degree (ideally in business administration or mechanical/chemistry/process industry) combined with professional experience in procurement or equivalent training and several years of relevant professional experience
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in procurement in the pharmaceutical or another regulated industry preferred
  • Commercial and administrative knowledge
  • Communication skills, ability to work in a team, independent work, analytical thinking and project management skills
  • Knowledge of SAP and ARIBA desirable
  • Knowledge of MS Office required
  • Experience in working with teams in a multinational environment desirable
  • Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
