Mechanical Design Engineer – Product Development

We are now looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Product Development team within Nederman’s Extraction & Filtration Technology (E&FT) division.
In this role, you will contribute to the development of innovative products that improve air quality, protect people, and enhance industrial performance.
You will be part of cross-functional development teams and work hands-on with design, prototyping, and validation - turning concepts into robust, manufacturable solutions.
Your responsibilities
In this role, you will play an active part in developing mechanical components and systems, translating product requirements and specifications into smart, reliable design solutions. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality technical documentation, including CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and relevant calculations, ensuring accuracy and clarity throughout the development process.
Working closely with the wider development team, you will support prototyping, testing, and validation activities, helping to transform concepts into robust and manufacturable products. You will ensure that all designs meet applicable standards such as ISO and CE, while contributing across the full product development lifecycle—from early concept phases to final product launch.
Collaboration will be central to your work. You will engage with sourcing, operations, and quality teams to ensure designs are not only technically sound but also cost-effective and production-ready. At the same time, you will tackle technical challenges with a problem-solving mindset, drive continuous product improvements, and actively contribute to design reviews by communicating your ideas and solutions clearly and confidently.
Your profile
We are looking for a mechanical engineer with a solid academic background, holding a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, combined wi
