About this role
We are seeking an experienced PLC Automation Engineer to develop, implement, and maintain automation solutions for industrial manufacturing, process industry, energy, infrastructure, and production environments.
The successful candidate will play a key role in designing automation systems, programming PLCs, developing HMI solutions, and supporting commissioning activities to ensure reliable and efficient plant operations.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain PLC-based automation systems
- Program and configure PLC controllers for industrial applications
- Develop and maintain HMI and SCADA solutions
- Perform system testing, FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities
- Troubleshoot automation, control, and communication systems
- Support system upgrades, modifications, and optimization projects
- Collaborate with electrical, instrumentation, and production teams
- Prepare technical documentation, functional specifications, and test protocols
- Ensure compliance with project requirements, safety standards, and industry best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline
- Experience with PLC programming in industrial environments
- Strong experience with Siemens TIA Portal
- Experience with HMI development and industrial communication protocols
- Knowledge of automation architectures and industrial control systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Fluent English, both written and spoken
- Preferred Experience
- Siemens S7 PLCs
- Rockwell Automation / Allen-Bradley
- Schneider Electric PLC platforms
- SCADA systems
- Manufacturing and process industries
- Mining, metals, energy, or infrastructure projects
- FAT, SAT, commissioning, and startup activities
- Industrial networking and communication protocols such as Profinet, Modbus TCP/IP, OPC UA, Ethernet/IP, or Profibus
