About this role
We are seeking an experienced Protection Engineer to design, configure, test, and support protection systems for transmission, distribution, and industrial power networks. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of electrical power systems across large-scale energy and infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop protection philosophies and protection schemes for electrical power systems
- Configure and test protection relays and associated control systems
- Perform fault studies, protection coordination studies, and system analysis
- Support FAT, SAT, commissioning, and energization activities
- Review technical specifications, drawings, and protection settings
- Troubleshoot protection and control system issues
- Collaborate with engineering, commissioning, and project teams
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience with protection and control systems for transmission, distribution, or industrial power networks
- Strong knowledge of power systems and protection principles
- Experience with ABB, Siemens, GE Multilin, Schneider Electric, or similar relay platforms
- Experience performing fault analysis and protection coordination studies
- Familiarity with IEC 61850 and substation automation systems is considered an advantage
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Fluent English
