Job Description
As Development Engineer you will innovate and develop new product concepts, technical solutions and design features for our Straddle Carrier business, making our product portfolio to be the most advanced and competitive in the market.
Guided by the BL Director, the SC Product Manager and the Sales team you convert market needs into products. Aligned with the Chief Engineers of the BL, you develop the respective technical solutions and get them into a serial production stage. In parallel, you act as the link between the German BL and the global KC engineering teams and you foster the efficient use of KC engineering tools and processes.
Responsibilities
- Identification of most desired product features and continuous update of the product roadmap together with the SC Product Manager.
- Priorization of development activities and preparation of product development proposals (business cases) in accordance with the BU H&Y Product Management Process Handbook.
- Organization and execution of product development projects of various extent, following the BU processes, with focus on meeting all related functional and financial targets.
- Planning and coordination of internal + external engineering resources required in executing the development projects.
- Close cooperation with BL Chief Engineers to exploit existing product know-how and to have new solutions fit seamlessly into the existing design structure.
