We are looking for an Accountant to join Saldo Bank's finance team in either Helsinki or Turku. In this role, you'll work as part of a collaborative and low-hierarchy finance team where you'll have the chance to take ownership, develop your skills, and contribute to improving finance processes.

What will you be doing?

As an Accountant, you will take ownership of Saldo Bank Finland's day-to-day accounting operations together with the local finance team and international stakeholders across the group. You'll initially work closely with an external accounting partner during onboarding, after which responsibilities will gradually transition in-house.

Your responsibilities include:

Daily accounting tasks and maintaining accurate financial records

Accounts payable processes, invoice handling, and vendor management

Cooperation with external payroll partners

Month-end and annual closing activities

Supporting audits, tax-related reporting, and regulated finance operations

Collaborating with treasury, reporting, and planning teams across the organization

Participating in finance process development projects

We require you to have:

Relevant educational background in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field

Previous experience from accounting, finance administration, accounts payable/receivable or similar tasks

Understanding of accounting principles, financial closing processes, audits and tax-related matters

Ability to work independently and take ownership of your responsibilities

Fluent Finnish skills and good English communication skil
