Are you a driven Group Accounting professional ready to take ownership in a listed, international environment? We are looking for a

Manager, Group Accounting

to play a key role in ensuring high-quality financial reporting and strengthening the consistency of accounting practices across Valmet Group.

In this position, you will work at the core of Group Finance, contributing to the preparation of consolidated interim and annual financial statements and continuously developing our IFRS-based accounting principles and reporting practices. You will take ownership in selected accounting areas and act as a go-to expert and sparring partner for Business Areas and Group stakeholders.

Your responsibilities include:

Owning and developing Group accounting and reporting instructions for selected areas, including group-level entries

Ensuring consistent application of IFRS principles across Group companies

Acting as a trusted advisor to Business Areas, supporting complex accounting questions in practice

Contributing to the preparation and quality assurance of Group financial statements and disclosures

You combine strong technical accounting skills with the ability to work independently in a demanding reporting environment.

We expect you to have:

Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar

Solid experience (typically 5+ years) in financial accounting, reporting, or audit—preferably in a listed international company

Strong, hands-on expertise in IFRS and Group consolidation

Ability to translate accounting requirements into practical guidance for the business

Strong analytical skills and excellent proficiency in Excel

Structured and proactive way of working, with the ability to deliver under tight timelines

Fluent English and Finnish

Valuable additional experience

Experience with consolidation systems (HFM or similar)

Exposure to business combinations, impairment testing, or IAS 12 taxes

KHT or equivalent qualification
