As a Senior Futures Designer, you’ll bring future possibilities to life by turning signals, insights, and foresight work into tangible outputs. Working hands-on, you’ll make abstract ideas concrete — helping teams explore what could be, challenge assumptions, and make more informed decisions.
You will:
Translate emerging insights, trends, and foresight directions into speculative concepts, artefacts, and prototypes
Design future-oriented experiences, systems, and narratives that explore possible scenarios
Create provocative concepts that expand thinking and challenge the status quo
Build tangible representations of future opportunities through visuals, prototypes, and story-driven artefacts
Develop compelling storytelling that communicates complex and ambiguous ideas clearly
Collaborate across teams to shape exploration directions and opportunity spaces
Contribute to workshops, concept sprints, and broader exploration initiatives
Support leadership conversations with engaging, thought-provoking outputs
Collaborate closely with innovation, futures, and strategy colleagues to materialise future opportunity spaces and exploration themes
You’ll also contribute to building long-term futures capabilities and new ways of exploring possible futures across the organisation.
WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
You’ll be part of the Innovation & Exploration team — a central function shaping and driving H&M Group’s innovation portfolio. The team explores emerging signals, technologies, and strategic themes, translating them into initiatives that can scale across the business or unlock new opportunities.
You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional partners across design, business, and technology, contributing to a shared ambition to explore what’s next.
