Responsibilities

  • Hazard Communication Specialist role plays a key part in ensuring regulatory compliance for chemical products, with a strong focus on CLP classification and the preparation, submission, and maintenance of Poison Centre Notifications (PCN) under EU regulatory frameworks. The position is responsible for authoring and maintaining compliant Safety Data Sheets (SDS), product labels, and hazard communication documentation in alignment with international chemical regulations. The role ensures products are accurately classified, labeled, and notified in accordance with CLP, GHS, OSHA HazCom 2024, WHMIS, REACH, and other major global frameworks, and provides subject matter expertise in Dangerous Goods transport compliance across DOT, IATA/ICAO, and IMDG.
  • We offer an approximately 18-month fixed-term assignment. The position is flexible in location: Kantvik, Jämsänkoski, Naantali, or Hanko, with hybrid working options available.

  • Prepare, submit, and maintain CLP notifications and Poison Centre Notifications (PCN) using UL WERCS and the IUCLID and ECHA portals.
  • Author, review, and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and product labels in compliance with GHS, CLP, and applicable regional regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure SDS accuracy, consistency, and alignment with regional classification and hazard communication requirements across internal databases and systems.
