We are looking for a Near Patient Care Sales Specialist based in Ireland (ideally Dublin area).

Job Summary

As a

Near Patient Care Sales Specialist

at Roche Diagnostics Ltd. in Ireland, you are at the forefront of the healthcare revolution, moving diagnostics closer to the patient to enable faster, more clinical decision-making. You will manage a high-value portfolio—including Point-of-Care (POC) and associated digital solutions—across hospitals, HSE clinics, and community care settings.

Responsibilities

  • 1. Strategic Sales & Territory Management
  • Drive Revenue:
  • Meet and exceed sales targets for the Near Patient Care portfolio (e.g., blood gas, glucose monitoring, and rapid diagnostic platforms).
  • Market Growth:
  • Identify new business opportunities within the HSE, private hospitals, and community health districts.
  • Tender Management:
  • Lead and contribute to complex tender submissions for business acquisition and retention within the Irish healthcare landscape.
  • 2. Customer Partnership & Consultation
  • Relationship Building:
  • Nurture deep relationships with key stakeholders, including Hospital Managers, Laboratory Directors, Point of Care Coordinators, and HSE procurement.
  • Solution Selling:
  • Consult with clinical teams to understand their workflow challenges and develop tailored diagnostic solutions that enhance service delivery.
  • Clinical Education:
  • Provide high-quality product demonstrations and in-service training for healthcare professionals to ensure the effective use of Roche technology.
  • 3. Market Intelligence & Analysis
  • Competitive Awareness:
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to inform strategic sales planning.
  • CRM Management:
  • Maintain accurate records and sales pipelines within Salesforce to support forecasting and territory reporting.
  • Requirements & Qualifications

Requirements

  • Education:
  • Degree level in Life Sciences, Biomedical Science, or a related field.
  • Proven track record in medical device or diagnostic sales with experience in the Irish HSE ecosystem.
  • License:
  • Full, clean driving license.
  • Communication:
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and "respectfully challenge the status quo".

  • Specific knowledge of "Near Patient" or Point of Care (POC) diagnostic workflows.
