Finance Controller

Close & Control Team

European Partnership Markets

. This role offers an opportunity to ensure the integrity of financial reporting for a key European cluster, while gaining exposure to global finance operations within a leading biopharma company.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the financial controlling activities for EPM, ensuring compliance with
  • IFRS
  • and
  • SOX
  • .
  • Oversee the
  • period-end close process
  • , including preparation of reports, analytical reviews, and ensuring timely and accurate signoffs to the EPM Finance Director.
  • Provide
  • management reporting
  • , including profit and loss, balance sheet, and working capital.
  • Conduct
  • variance analysis
  • for operating expenses, margins, profitability, and balance sheet health.
  • Ensure the timely and effective performance of
  • internal controls
  • and support both internal and external audits.
  • Act as the
  • primary point of contact
  • for Trading Partner Finance team, including R2R, O2C and P2P to resolve queries and manage escalations.
  • Manage the relationship
  • and ensure to develop constructive network with the Customer Service, Senior Finance Partners and Planning & Forecasting activities to enable business context, issue resolution and process improvement.
  • Champion governance mindset with objective to
  • improve and optimise key processes
  • and understand risks for EPM, continuously challenge lack of consistency and standardize existing ways of working to align with the C&C model.
  • Contribute to business review meetings, providing
  • financial insights
  • and recommendations.
  • Support ongoing
  • maintenance of dormant entities
  • within the area.
  • Basic Qualifications:
  • Degree in
  • Finance/Accounting
  • or equivalent professional experience
  • 5 years’ experience
  • in accounting, audit, or financial controlling
  • In-depth knowledge of
  • accounting principles
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a
  • data-driven environment
  • Professional fluency in
  • English
  • (written and spoken)
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience in multinational settings
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and learning
