Job Description:

What’s the role

As a Regulatory Operator in Low Carbon Fuels (LCF), you will manage day-to-day regulatory operations within a defined scope, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness. You will support and lead audits and system reviews while building expertise across regulatory, commercial, and analytical areas with a strong focus on analytical problem-solving, data-driven decision making, and end-to-end process understanding. You will develop subject matter knowledge, collaborate effectively with stakeholders, and provide clear, actionable insights. The role involves identifying process inefficiencies and risks, resolving issues within scope, and escalating more complex matters as needed, while contributing to continuous improvement.

The LCF Regulatory Operations team ensures compliance with country-specific biofuel mandates by managing sustainability documentation and bio-tickets within Trading & Supply. This work is critical for certification, regulatory submissions, and optimizing end-to-end commercial value, with a focus on accurate, timely execution and ongoing process improvement.

What you’ll be doing

Ensure timely, accurate submissions and maintain up-to-date SOPs/desk manuals aligned with regulatory requirements.

Review regulatory updates and change requests, assess impacts, and escalate risks or issues to SMEs/Regulatory Intelligence as needed.

Translate regulatory requirements into operational practices, ensuring compliance and audit readiness.

Lead and support internal/external audits (e.g., ISCC, NEa, national), including documentation, reviews, and follow-up actions.

Deliver accurate, complete work on time in line with SOPs, QMS standards, and mandatory training requirements (including zero LOD1 breaches).

Monitor sustainability performance and KPIs (e.g., MB closure, submission timeliness, data quality), manage dashboards/CVA inputs, and escalate deviations.

Collaborate with Trading, Bio Optimizers, Commercial Operators, and Sustainability teams to ensure smooth, aligned operations and effective handovers.

Proactively identify, resolve, and escalate operational issues, risks, and improvement opportunities to prevent recurrence.

Support ISCC mass balance closures, PoS optimization, and implementation of new business activities, tools, and digital initiatives.

Apply analytical thinking to identify trends, risks, and optimisation opportunities across processes and data.

Maintain clear, structured communication with stakeholders, ensuring accurate data flow, alignment, and efficient execution across processes.

Contribute to team effectiveness through knowledge sharing, cross-focus group participation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Demonstrate ownership, a collaborative mindset, and continuous learning in day-to-day operations.

What you bring

Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform scenario analysis, work with large datasets (e.g., Power BI), and translate insights into actionable improvements

Proven stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across Trading, Commercial, and Sustainability teams

Structured, proactive, and detail-oriented way of working
