About this role

Enersense Engineering is currently looking for a Lead Engineer for Civil Works to join our client's team on a Data Centre project located in Helsinki region, Finland. In this role, you will be responsible for leading all Civil (CSA) activities and ensuring high standards of safety, quality and project delivery throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate all Civil work packages across the project

Ensure site safety in close cooperation with the safety team, maintaining compliance from site establishment through final project completion.

Manage site Quality assurance and Quality control activities together with the project and quality teams

Coordinate project scheduling with the Planners, Project Managers, Subcontractors and Design Consultants to ensure milestones and client expectations are met

Support project cost monitoring and forecasting alongside the QS team

Supervise daily site activities, reporting and documentation to maintain efficient project execution

Monitor subcontractor performance, including manpower, progress and quality standards

Represent the civils discipline in Project Reviews, Engineering, Planning and Handover Meetings

Assist with project closeout activities, including punch lists, Quality assurance documentation, safety files and demobilisation of materials and equipment

Review and verify drawings, setting-out information, and as-built documentation

Coordinate and complete all CSA activities to a high-quality standard

Good command of English (written and spoken)

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 7 years' of experience within the CSA/construction industry, preferably on large-scale projects
  • Strong understanding of project planning, sequencing and scheduling principles
  • Proven experience in leading teams and managing subcontractors
  • Excellent knowledge of site operations, safety practices and quality assurance processes
