Heavy-duty vehicle / commercial vehicle mechanic
About this role
We are currently looking for a summer employee in Vantaa for a Commercial Vehicle / Heavy Equipment Mechanic position for our client.
Our client is a growing and international provider of technical services, supporting customers throughout the entire lifecycle of heavy equipment. In addition to maintenance and repair services, the company offers technical support, spare parts solutions, and expert services to ensure efficient and reliable equipment performance.
We are looking for a candidate with experience particularly in servicing brake systems, chassis, and air conditioning systems, and who enjoys hands-on work.
In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of maintenance and repair tasks, as well as reporting and documenting your work in relevant systems.
We expect from you:
Previous experience in installation and maintenance work related to commercial vehicles or heavy equipment
Experience with brake, chassis, and air conditioning system servicing
A careful and proactive working approach
Willingness to work in a two-shift system
Flexibility regarding working hours
Students in technical fields or candidates with other mechanical backgrounds (e.g., passenger cars, maintenance, mechanical engineering) will also be considered, as long as they have some experience in technical roles.
Considered an advantage:
Technical qualifications and certificates (e.g., occupational safety card, hot work-, electrical safety- or air conditioning certification)
Work is mainly carried out on weekdays in two shifts (8:00-16:00 and 15:00-23:00), with a minimum of 35 hours per week. Weekend work and flexible working arrangements are also possible.
The employment will start as soon as possible and continue until the end of August.
The employment is offered through Manpower as a temporary agency contract, and salary and terms are determined according to the collective agreement for the motor vehicle and machinery repair sector.
