Tasks:
Collaborating with the team to understand requirements and constraints
Developing and designing CAD models and drawings of electromechanical components of the
magnetic bearing system
Researching and selecting appropriate cables, wires, connectors, feedthroughs, grommets, and
cable management components from supplier catalogs
Creating and maintaining accurate bills of materials (BOM) and part lists
Evaluating specifications against requirements (current capacity, voltage rating, environmental
resistance, flexibility), maintaining approved vendor and component libraries
Creating 3D models of cables, harnesses, and routing paths.
Must-have:
Minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, or similar programs
Knowledge of mechanical design principles and engineering concepts
Knowledge and experience of cable routing and fixation
Experience with electrical devices and feedthrough selection
Knowledge of design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles
Researching components from manufacturer catalogs and databases
Good written and spoken English skills
