Responsibilities
As a
Scientific Communication & Medical Information Specialist
, you will demonstrate your scientific expertise to develop and deliver a wide range of medical communications and scientific content.
This is a
medical communications-focused role
requiring strong writing and content development capability (not clinical study report writing). You will work closely with global partners to translate complex scientific information into clear, engaging, and impactful materials, while also contributing to continuous improvement through digital tools and innovation.
Key Accountabilities:
Develop, review, and maintain
high-quality scientific and medical communications materials
across multiple formats
Deliver
accurate, balanced, and evidence-based responses
to medical information inquiries from healthcare professionals
Translate complex clinical and scientific data into
clear, engaging, and audience-appropriate messaging
Conduct
literature searches
and critically evaluate scientific evidence
Perform
medical accuracy reviews
to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance
Create a variety of deliverables, including:
Scientific slide decks and presentations
Training materials and internal education content
Infographics and visual communication assets
Speaker materials and engagement content
Materials supporting MSL and Regional Medical Affairs (RMA) engagements
Post-congress reports and insights summaries
Disease state education and reactive medical information materials
Collaborate with cross-functional partners to align content with
strategic and regulatory requirements
Contribute to
process improvements and operational efficiencies
Support the
adoption of digital tools, AI, and new technologies
in content creation and delivery
Lead or contribute to
key workstreams and projects
across medical communications and innovation
Essential Skills & Experience:
Scientific degree:
Pharmacy (PharmB)
preferred, or
Life Sciences
PhD
, or
Equivalent clinical experience involving
direct patient interaction
(e.g. pharmacy, dentistry, or similar)
3–5 years’ experience in:
Scientific communications
Medical information
Medical writing or related roles within pharma, biotech, or healthcare
Strong experience in
medical communications content development
, including:
Slide decks
Training materials
Scientific communication assets
External and internal engagement materials
Proven ability to:
Interpret and analyse scientific literature
Translate complex data into
clear, accurate messaging
Deliver high-quality content to diverse audiences
Strong communication, organisational, and project management skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating across global teams
Proficiency with
digital tools and content platforms
Understanding of
regulatory, legal, and compliance standards
within Medical Affairs
Desirable Skills & Experience:
Experience developing
digital scientific content or content strategies
Exposure to
AI or technology-enabled content development tools
Experience supporting
MSL or Medical Affairs teams
Experience mentoring or guiding others (for more senior profiles)
Prior experience in
global or multi-regional environments
