Responsibilities

  • As a Scientific Operations Excellence – Delivery Manager, you will lead and optimise the
  • end-to-end delivery of medical and scientific content

  • Key Accountabilities:
  • Operational Excellence & Delivery Leadership
  • Drive best-in-class operational practices across planning, governance, processes, platforms, and performance tracking
  • Lead initiatives to improve delivery quality, speed, and predictability
  • End-to-End Content Lifecycle Management
  • Own and coordinate the
  • full content lifecycle
  • , from planning through review, approval, publishing, and performance monitoring
  • Ensure delivery is predictable, compliant, and aligned with business priorities
  • Portfolio Management & Visibility
  • Track and manage content progression across disease areas or portfolios
  • Provide clear visibility on
  • timelines, dependencies, risks, and delivery status
  • Governance & Risk Management
  • Lead delivery governance, including status reporting, risk identification, issue management, and escalation
  • Ensure delivery commitments are met through proactive mitigation planning
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Medical Information, Scientific Communications, Digital, Veeva, Graphics, and platform teams
  • Enable seamless execution across a complex, matrixed global organisation
  • Platform & Channel Operations
  • Oversee content operations across platforms such as:
  • CLM (Closed Loop Marketing)
  • AZ Medical
  • Medical Information Portals
  • Other digital content delivery platforms
  • Process Improvement & Innovation
  • Maintain and continuously enhance operational processes, playbooks, and guidance
  • Drive improvements in efficiency, quality, and scalability
  • Support digital transformation and innovation initiatives
  • Planning & Enablement
  • Contribute to business planning and operational strategy for scientific communications
  • Support global-to-local execution models and adoption across markets
  • Enable onboarding through structured documentation and operational materials
  • Performance & Insights
  • Support KPI, OKR, and performance tracking
  • Contribute to dashboards, insights, and reporting to inform decision-making
  • Essential Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in
  • Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine
  • , or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong experience in:
  • Scientific communications
  • Medical content operations
  • Complex delivery or programme management environments
  • Proven track record of:
  • Operating in
  • regulated environments
  • (medical, scientific, compliance-led workflows)
  • Managing
  • complex, multi-stakeholder workflows
  • with multiple dependencies and approval steps
  • Working with
  • enterprise content platforms
  • (e.g. CLM, medical portals, CMS tools)
  • Driving
  • delivery governance, reporting, and performance tracking
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Medical and scientific content governance
  • Compliance and quality standards within Medical Affairs environments
  • Experience collaborating across
  • global, regional, and local teams
  • Strong analytical and structured thinking skills, with ability to interpret data and performance metrics
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to
  • lead without authority
  • in a matrix organisation
  • Comfortable operating in
  • fast-paced, evolving environments
  • with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Desirable Skills & Experience:
  • Experience working within
  • GBS, shared services, or centre-of-excellence models

  • Certification or training in:

  • Agile, Lean, or continuous improvement methodologies
