Why this role matters
This is a key role in building Hoxhunt's new product, helping organizations to see, understand, and act on human risks.
Your mission: make risk insights clear and actionable. You'll ship new features and improve parts that matter the most - APIs, high-throughput event processing pipeline, a flexible data visualization system and a powerful automation builder.
What you'll own and drive
Features are shipped end-to-end, together. Team own defining scope and architecture, building it and ensuring code runs smooth in production.
Lead the architecture and development of our systems. Raise the bar around you through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing. Tech stack: TypeScript/Node.js, AlloyDB/PostgreSQL, GraphQL, React, GCP.
Decide what to build by understanding the user problem and the business impact. Evaluate tradeoffs and use real data to iterate.
What success looks like
In the first 90 days, you have shipped important features end-to-end and you're influencing product and technical decisions.
By month six, you own one or more subsystems, defining the technical direction, what we build next, what we stop doing, what we invest in.
What makes you thrive here
Backend focused full-stack engineer who has worked with multiple products, shipping scalable cloud products end-to-end. Likely 5+ years of full-stack experience, but we care more about what you've built than the number.
Fluent in TypeScript, Node.js, and SQL databases or other similar technologies.
