Job Description

As a Reconciliation Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of financial data across our global banking operations. You will be responsible for performing complex reconciliations, investigating discrepancies, and supporting control frameworks that underpin financial reporting and regulatory compliance. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across time zones and functions.

Responsibilities

  • Daily Tasks:
  • Perform bank, ledger, and system reconciliations across multiple entities and currencies.
  • Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks, ensuring timely escalation of exceptions.
  • Monitor cash and securities positions to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Maintain reconciliation systems and update entries as needed.
  • Deliver daily reports on outstanding breaks and risk exposures.
  • Weekly Tasks:
  • Review aged breaks and coordinate resolution with relevant stakeholders.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and propose process improvements.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss reconciliation health and operational risks.
  • Support internal control checks and compliance reviews.
  • Monthly Tasks:
  • Prepare and deliver KPI/KRI reports to senior management.
  • Assist with month-end balance sheet substantiation and financial close processes.
  • Contribute to process reviews, automation initiatives, and system enhancements.
  • Support internal and external audit requests with appropriate documentation.
  • Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in financial reconciliations within banking or financial services.
  • Strong understanding of reconciliation systems preferrable (e.g., Blackline, Trintech, Frontier).
  • Experience working in a global support model is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Excel; knowledge of SQL or data analytics tools is a plus.

  • Additional information:
  • The role offers a hybrid / flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.
  • This role is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract.
