About this role

The successful candidate will be responsible to carry out and manage all finance duties. These include book-keeping, preparation and review of financial statements, regulatory returns and VAT compliance. Part-time applicants also considered. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and Group Finance function, your main responsibilities will be: General book-keeping, including all reconciliations and updating of ledgers Operating within the accounting framework and assuring compliance with all regulatory requirements Preparing monthly management accounts and quarterly financial statements Preparation and submission of all monthly, quarterly and annual regulatory returns (COREP, etc.) Preparation and submission of VAT Returns, FS5, FS3, FS7, WHT and other fiscal submissions Operating internal control in compliance with Group Finance policies and guidelines Managing day-to-day contact with local service providers Managing and running payroll, including de/registration of employees with Jobsplus, whilst performing HR administration in liaison with the Group Processing invoices, expense reports, incoming receipt and providing any other operational and administrative support as required Preparing accounting data for eventual internal/external auditing Assistance with auditors’ queries Coordinating budgeting and forecast processes, looking for cost-reduction opportunities and monitoring cash flow Provide insights on the financial health of the company Reviewing overall work carried out by the team Handling all administrative matters Carrying out general duties including but not limited to liaising with other departments within the Group, and assisting in other ad-hoc duties as may arise due to the exigencies of the operation

Prior experience in client accounting/ book keeping, ideally 2-3 years of experience (experience within the financial services industry, an asset). Holding a degree in Accountancy or be ACCA qualified is an asset Fluent in English; any additional languages, an asset Highly organized, rigorous and a strong attention to detail is a must Able to work unsupervised, multi-task, prioritise workload and work calmly under pressure Able to work accurately to tight deadlines Takes initiative and can work both independently and as part of a team Strong work ethic, professionalism and deep commitment to meet the highest standards required by the role Excellent administrative and business support skills Demonstrates the ability to handle increasing responsibility over time Working knowledge of MS Office suite, including Word and Excel
