About this role

Do you want to turn research into impactful solutions that improve people’s well-being, strengthen societal resilience, and attract international funding? LUT University is seeking a grant writer whose work will focus on competitive research funding and collaboration, particularly in areas related to digital health, preventive well-being, and adaptive resilience. The position is part of LUT’s Research Services, but you will be collaborating closely with researchers and experts at the LAB University of Applied Sciences.

About the role

As a grant writer, you will not only write proposals but actively contribute to how projects are built and developed. Your work will involve identifying funding opportunities, developing project concepts, and maintaining close dialogue with researchers and partners. The goal is to recognise shared interests and translate them into competitive, fundable research initiatives. Your work focuses on themes such as preventive well-being, functional capacity, digital and data-driven health systems and tools, well-being services, and adaptive resilience and preparedness for a health‑promoting society.

You will work closely with researchers, research groups, and partners across disciplines. Your role is to understand both the scientific content and the logic of funding instruments and to bring these together in a way that meets the expectations of funders. This means supporting researchers in structuring project ideas, articulating impact, and positioning proposals clearly within an international funding environment.

You will be involved in project preparation from early-stage ideation to final submission. A central part of your work is to bridge research and funding, helping prepare proposals that are both scientifically strong and aligned with evaluation criteria and programme priorities.
