Position Summary:
This position will be responsible for the setup/tear down of the grinder and all the equipment necessary for processing.
Responsibilities
- Setup/tear down all equipment.
- Operate forklifts and process equipment.
- Add proper amount of ingredients to blends and for correcting batching of meat materials
- Safe handling of all material.
- Load product onto trucks.
- Empty and wash vats.
- Complete all necessary paperwork within the department.
- Keep the floor and work area clean at all times to include general housekeeping duties.
- Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements.
- Perform all positions of job rotation as needed.
- Perform any other work as assigned by management.
- Ability and willingness to perform basic math functions (i.e.: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Ability and willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
- Ability and willingness to obtain a tow motor certification.
- Ability and willingness to scan or input into computer system, all product film, boxes, casings, clips, and ingredients for all daily product runs, including change overs.
- Ability and willingness to follow formulations on computer and accurately record and report food safety or product information.
- Physical Requirements:
- The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with rapid hand and eye coordination to move product on a conveyor and/or other processing equipment.
- Ability and willingness to flex/grip with wrist/hands frequently.
- Ability and willingness to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level 20 pounds or greater frequently.
- Ability and willingness to lift/lower/carry up to 20 pounds or greater with back and legs.
- Ability and willingness to stand/walk/climb/bend for up to 10 hours.
- Ability and willingness to work in wet conditions and cold temperatures at 35 degrees
