Role Overview:
The client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer specializing in Java to support a long-term consulting engagement within e-commerce and system integration. This role focuses on designing and delivering robust integrations between a promotion/rules engine and an e-commerce platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build efficient backend solutions while maintaining high coding standards and deployment stability.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement backend integrations between enterprise systems, particularly within e-commerce environments.
- Produce clean, efficient, and maintainable code aligned with industry best practices and coding standards.
- Conduct thorough unit testing and validation to ensure code quality and reliability.
- Oversee and support stable production deployments, ensuring minimal disruption and high availability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders, to deliver cohesive solutions.
- Contribute to system design discussions, ensuring scalability and performance of microservices-based architectures.
- Maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation, including solution designs and knowledge sharing.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance development processes and system performance.
- Required Experience:
- Extensive experience in backend development at a senior level.
- Strong hands-on expertise in building scalable and distributed systems.
- Proven experience working with system integrations and microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with cloud environments and modern DevOps practices.
